As a Survey Technician, you’ll work directly with our experienced team to perform boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction layouts, and more. Whether you’re seeking part-time or full-time opportunities, we offer flexible roles to fit your needs. You’ll gain hands-on experience, grow your technical skills, and receive mentorship to advance toward leadership roles, such as Survey Crew Chief.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Self-motivated individuals who take responsibility and enjoy working independently.
  • Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply—we’re a veteran-owned company and proudly support those who’ve served.
  • Experience or training in construction layout, residential surveys, design surveys, topographic surveys is a plus, but not required.
  • A high school diploma is required; a degree in Land Surveying/Geomatics is preferred.
  • Ability to operate survey instruments, including GNSS receivers, total stations, data collectors, and digital levels.
  • A valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.

  • $1,500/Year for Career Growth
    • Employer and Employee will work to identify courses needed for career advancement
    • CAD classes, drone training, test preparation, etc.
  • Blue Arrow will Pay for NCEES Licensing Exams
    • Guaranteed 10% raise upon completion of LSIT or PLS
  • In the Field
    • Perform a wide variety of surveys, to include construction layout, design surveys, residential surveys, control networks, boundary surveys, and subdivisions.
    • Use, maintain, and troubleshoot survey equipment, including GNSS receivers, total stations, data collectors, and digital levels.
    • Take detailed notes and sketches for office use.
  • In the Office
    • Assist with CAD drafting in Civil 3D, research land records and deeds, conduct data analysis and quality control, and perform equipment maintenance.
    • Aid in planning field surveys and future projects, with a focus on ‘ground-level’ tasks for the field crew.

This is a field-heavy role, requiring physical labor in varying conditions, from Alaska’s winter snow to summer heat. Travel and flexibility are required, and you’ll occasionally work Davis-Bacon jobs with prevailing wages.
