This project consisted of the demolition of a legacy ore loader dock, and installation of a new cruise ship dock with supporting structures. The new cruise ship dock increased the capacity for cruise ship revenue in the Municipality of Skagway.
The project was a demanding survey; aside from the technical nature of the survey work needed for the project, inclement winter weather, marine conditions, tight timelines, and a host of other considerations challenged the crew. Although not a design-build project, each phase of the build needed to be surveyed and analyzed in real-time to ensure the next portion of the structure would fit per the design.
